Vincent, 45, has just returned from Morocco, where he failed to find the childhood home of his father, Marc. Marc, a naturalized French citizen, left Morocco when the country gained independence in 1961. On the way to the hospital where his father is dying, Vincent meets Ahmed, a Moroccan student.
